would you like to adopt a rescue horse?

Horse Rescue Australia’s greatest joy is to find caring forever homes for the horses that come into our care.

When a horse arrives at the sanctuary, they spend a period of time being assessed and rehabilitated back to their best health and wellbeing. If a horse is deemed suitable for adoption they are carefully matched with the right family. Many of our families adopt a rescue horse as a friend for their own horse.

Adopting a rescue horse is a bespoke process undertaken by our caretaker Anne, taking into account any physical and/or emotional trauma the horse has been through together with the the horse experience of the new family to ensure the very best possible outcome for everyone.

Horse Rescue Australia is committed to the lifetime care of every horse that comes to the sanctuary. This means that if circumstances change for the family and they are no longer able to care for the horse, we will always take them back.

If you would like to find out more about adopting a rescue horse into your family, please contact Anne.
