Volunteer with us
We love hosting volunteer days at our property at 220 Crooked Lane, North Richmond, NSW. We try to hold them every second month depending on the weather. If it’s too hot or too wet it’s no fun for horses or humans!
‘Vollie Day’ starts with a property tour to meet the horses and an update on what’s been happening at the sanctuary. For those looking to be a bit more hands on, there are odd jobs to be done like clearing weeds in the paddocks, poo pickup, fixing fences or cutting back brush. Grooming is a highlight of the day – we bring out a few of our gentle residents who adore the special attention. Mostly it is just a lovely day spent outdoors in the company of horses and like minded people with morning tea and drinks provided. You will need sturdy shoes, hat and sunscreen.
Children are welcome under the careful supervision of a responsible parent or guardian. Unfortunately no dogs allowed.
